We flew into Bangkok when we took our trip to Thailand - since we wanted to make our trip more relaxing, we didn’t want to spend too much time in Bangkok. But if you’re in Thailand, you have to experience Bangkok. So we decided to spend 24 hours there! It was my first time stepping foot in Asia, and I will never forget how excited I was to be there. We got in late and woke up the next morning extremely jet-lagged to begin our trip!
Morning
Since we decided to sleep in, we ate at Terminal 21 food court for lunch. It was Very inexpensive and delicious food - the mall that it was in was HUGE.

We then took the train to Wat Arun Temple where we spent 1-2 hours there wandering around, taking pictures and learning about the site. It was larger than we thought it would be and wasn’t expensive to get in. So worth it!

We didn’t get the chance to go to the Grand Palace since it closed by the time we made our way there - but everyone says it’s a must-do! If we were to do it again, we would first go to the Grand Palace and then Wat Arun
Afternoon
After we found out that the Grand Palace was closed, we hopped on a Tuk Tuk and it took us to the ‘Big Buddha’ Statue - Going on a Tuk Tuk through the streets of Bangkok is a must do but we could have easily skipped going to the statue. The

The TukTuk then took us to a suit shop for Patrick to get a custom made suit. The suit they made for him ended up being a bit small so when you go, make sure the measurements are accurate. Since we only ended up going for the 24 hours, we couldn’t go back the next day for another fitting which I think also was a reason it was too small.
Evening
For Dinner - we went to The Local, a Michelin star restaurant in Bangkok. The food was AMAZING and it was a very calm atmosphere. After a long day of running around the city while combating jet lag, this meal was exactly what we needed.

We ended the night at an Irish Bar near our hotel - even though we were super tired from all the travel it was the perfect way to end the night listening to live music with a beer. Although this wasn’t probably the best place to experience “Bangkok Nightlife”, it was exactly what we wanted.
Accommodations:
Stayed at the Ramada by Wyndham Bangkok Sukhumvit11: Overall, it was a good hotel in a convenient area, but it was very basic. Definitely stay somewhere else if you want more of an experience where you stay.
Used the AOT Car Service for Pickup to take us from the airport to the hotel
